Anti-Aging Products

Healthy aging and anti aging strategies require a holistic approach applying nutrition, exercise, and healthy living. Listed here are a number of supplements that are often used in such regimens.

HGH - Human Growth Hormone
Many scientists, believe HGH could be kept at the levels of youth, then the aging process would be slowed down, or even stopped. It is a question that has spawned much controversy within the ranks of physicians, with many leading doctors on both sides of the issue. Information about prescription HGH.

Carnitine
Supplemental carnitine could in theory improve the ability of certain tissues to produce energy.

Co-enzyme Q10
Coenzyme Q-10 has been the focus of scientific study for years. It’s supposed to improve memory, boost immunity, enhance exercise performance, and combat aging.

Deprenyl (selegiline)
Recent studies merit a re-evaluation of deprenyl by life extensionists.

DHEA
The body makes its own DHEA; production peaks early in life and by age 60, our bodies produce just 5 to 15% as much as when we were 20. Some believe this decline contributes to the aging process.

Gerovital
This is a quack product that won't prevent or cure anything. It has been around for years, is currently being aggressively marketed to older people, many of whom fall for it and waste their money.

Lipoic acid
This potent and versatile antioxidant may some day be a very important supplement. For now, not enough is known to recommend it.

Melatonin
Based on early reports that melatonin levels decline with age, the hormone was briefly marketed as a kind of fountain of youth.

Selenium
Early Selenium research is promising, but it’s no miracle mineral.

SAMe
SAMe was first investigated as a treatment for depression, but along the way it was accidentally noted to improve arthritis symptoms.
