Damiana |
Damiana (Turnera diffusa)Proposed Uses: Male Sexual Capacity; Respiratory Diseases; Asthma; Depression; Digestive Problems; Difficulty Achieving Orgasm in Women; Menstrual Disorders Damiana continues to be a popular aphrodisiac for males. However, if it works at all, the effect appears to be rather mild. Damiana is also sometimes said to be helpful for treating asthma and other respiratory diseases, depression, digestive problems, menstrual disorders, and various forms of sexual dysfunction—for example, impotence in men and inability to achieve orgasm in women. However, again there is no real evidence that it works for any of these conditions. Like the herb uva ursi, damiana contains arbutin, although at a concentration about 10 times lower. Arbutin is a urinary antiseptic, but the levels present in damiana are probably too small to make this herb a useful treatment for bladder infections. Dosage Safety Issues
The Fountain of Youth? What if I told you that it may be possible for you to live to age 100 or even longer, in better health than you are in right now? And, if you are already experiencing the ill effects of aging, what if I told you that it may be possible for you to look and feel 20 years younger and stay that way beyond the age of 100. Aside from the fact that you'd probably call me crazy, I have to tell you that we have never been as close as we are today to actually being able to extend human life!
